This 100,000 square foot, mixed-use development used locally sourced materials and provocative design to become one of only five hotels in the United States built to meet the United States Green Building Council LEED Platinum standard, and the first hotel in the nation to incorporate solar, geothermal and radiant heating and cooling. Anchoring the Peter B. Lewis Gateway Center, The Hotel at Oberlin is one of the most environmentally sustainable hotel projects in the US.

Lewis Gateway Center, the cornerstone of Oberlin’s Green Arts District, an ongoing development conceived by the City and College to transform Oberlin into a model for environmentally aware economic development based on education and the arts.
All operating profits from The Hotel at Oberlin support scholarships at Oberlin College. Providing scholarships for students for many years to come.
