Philosophy

At Olympia Development, the experience and intellect of our people drive the success of our projects. Bringing this talent to a unique set of services allows us to maximize client value through every step of development.

From permitting to completion, challenging projects in high barrier-to-entry markets capture our imaginations. In 2003, we earned Hilton’s Deal of The Year award for Portland’s Hilton Garden Inn, and our development capabilities have been honed and perfected on our own projects. Not only are we investors in many of the hotel properties we build, but we also provide hotel operations management. As a result, we see projects from the viewpoints of both investor and operator when it comes to driving economic value.

Our perspective is distinctly different from contract development or program management firms. The core interests of such organizations may not be aligned with the revenue opportunities and long-term challenges associated with owning and operating the facilities they’re hired to develop.

At Olympia Development, our tenacious commitment to economic quality sets the framework for relationships with new and repeat clients who rely on Olympia to add value to development investments in historic districts, urban areas, restrictive and secondary markets.
