“Random Acts of Hospitality” Marks the 100th Anniversary of Hilton with a Waterfront Clean-Up

June 27, 2019. Portland, ME. On May 31, hundreds of Hilton hotels worldwide marked the 100th anniversary of Hilton by extending Hilton hospitality beyond their doors and taking “Random Acts of Hospitality” to their communities. In Portland, team members of The Hilton Garden Inn Portland Downtown Waterfront joined forces with the other Portland-area Hilton-branded properties and embarked on an ambitious public clean-up program in conjunction with the City of Portland Parks and Recreation to clean up the Eastern Promenade and East End Beach.
Some 60 team members from the nine Hilton hotels in Greater Portland gathered at East End Beach for a full afternoon of trail, beach and water’s edge clean-up to give back on Hilton’s 100th Anniversary. Team members enjoyed working together to make a difference for those visiting Portland from away, and for locals paddling and surfing off the beach. Several surfers stopped to thank the Hilton team for chipping in to make a difference in their environment.
